Turn one four-letter word into another by changing a single letter at a time. Every step must be a word, and the shortest route is your par. Find a clean path to earn three stars, or take a hint when the next rung is hard to see.

A new daily puzzle arrives at midnight UTC. Build a daily streak, work through 36 levels that grow harder, or start an endless Climb and see how high you can go. Undo a step freely, reveal a solution when you are stuck, and share a spoiler-free result grid with friends.

Play with your keyboard or the on-screen letter keys using a mouse or touch. Calm chalkboard colors, wooden ladders and gentle synthesized sounds keep the focus on the words. Sound can be muted. Progress is saved in this browser; there are no accounts, ads or analytics.

Controls

Type four letters and press Enter. Backspace deletes a letter, or undoes a rung when the entry is empty. Use the Hint, Undo, Give up, Sound and Help buttons for the other actions. Shift+H requests a hint; Shift+M toggles sound. Escape closes a panel.
